Joyce Elizabeth Spratlen, age 60

Mrs. Spratlen passed away Thursday morning at her residence in Midlothian.
Joyce was born in Dallas, Texas to Howard and Peggy (Hindman) Mobley. She was a 1966 graduate of Cedar Hill High School and attended Cedar Valley Jr. College. She married Darrell Spratlen, December 7, 1996 in Duncanville. Joyce was a longtime (32 years) Realtor in the Greater Dallas area with Ebby Halliday Realtors. She was a member of: Greater Dallas Board of Realtors, Greater Dallas Realtor Association, Cedar Hill Chamber of Commerce, and the Women's Council of Realtors. Joyce was also a member of the Midlothian Bible Church.

She is survived by: 3 sons; Ronald Andrus, Austin Spratlen, Steven Spratlen, all of Midlothian, 1 daughter Peggy Duron and her husband George of Midlothian, 1 brother Bill Mobley and his wife Susan of Hubbard, 4 sisters; Jeannie Baucum and her husband Dan of Midlothian, Julie Meador and her husband Jerry of Midlothian, Pattie Hawkins and her husband Elton of Dawson, and Lorrie Rynders and her husband AD of Glenn Rose. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband Darrell in 2003.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 PM Saturday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 3:00 PM Sunday, July 13, 2008 at the Midlothian Bible Church with Pastors Dave Smith and Bob Stanbery officiating. Interment will follow at the Mobley Cemetery in Cedar Hill.

The family request that Memorials be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
