Joyce Elva Shasteen, age 60

June 5, 2003

Ms. Shasteen passed away Thursday night at Baylor Ellis County. She was born in Carbondale, IL. to Lois Irene Gregg. She had lived in Waxahachie for the past fifteen years, moving from Illinois. She was a factory worker in the auto industry.

Survivors are: her mother, Lois Irene Gregg; two sons, Lendall Bo Barker and Thomas Hutchins, and Dennis Michael and Samantha Triplett; cousin, Richard Turner; grandchildren, Misty Stockton, Rebecca Stockton and Christina Triplett, all of Waxahachie. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Melody Kay Stockton in 1998 and a son, Phillip Barker in 1962.

Memorial services are scheduled for 11 AM Monday, June 9, 2003 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Reverend Earl Teeter and Kary Clark officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Association.
