Joyce Manley, age 73

Mrs. Manley passed away at her Ovilla home Wednesday morning. She was born in New York City, New York to Louis and Mae (Parisher) Greer. She attended schools in New York and Atlanta, Georgia. Joyce married Loyd Manley in Atlanta, GA in 1946. They were an Air Force family settling in Austin, TX in 1972. She was a details clerk for an Austin auto dealership, retiring in 1999. She moved to Ovilla in 2002, living with her son Steve and grandson Phillip. Joyce was a member of the Methodist faith, a loving Mother, Grandmother and she loved flower gardening.

Mrs. Manley is survived by: sons, Steve Manley of Ovilla, TX, Clay Manley and Lee Manley both of Austin, TX; grandson, Phillip Manley of Ovilla, TX and cousin, Virginia Clark of Virginia.

The family will receive friends and relatives 5-7 PM Friday, November 19, 2004 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Saturday, November 20, 2004 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel at the funeral home with the Reverend Nancy Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Red Oak Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
