Joyce Harbert

Joyce Ellen "Granny" Harbert, 80, passed away on November 2, 2017 in Waxahachie with her loved-ones by her side. "Granny" was born in Clarksville, Arkansas on January 3, 1937, to Euell and Vellow (Chesser) Russell.

Joyce Russell married Carl J. Harbert on November 11, 1950 in Clarksville, Arkansas. They were married 67 years and had two daughters. She worked at a store when she was younger and then moved to Waxahachie, Texas to work in the office acting as Service Manager for Kinro Composites Inc.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents and 5 siblings. She is survived by her husband Carl Junior Harbert, daughters Carla Byrum and husband Craig, and Linda Scheurmann; Grandchildren, April Frailey and husband Danny, Kelly Jahnke and husband Chad, Cara Blattner and husband Tommy, and Matthew Scheurmann and wife Danielle; Great grandchildren, Lexy Roe, Tylor Frailey, Sierra Frailey, and Garrett Jahnke.

A family visitation was held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2017, at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, located at 1826 W. Hwy. 287 Business, Waxahachie, TX. The funeral services were also held at Wayne Boze Funeral Home at 10 a.m. on Monday November 6, 2017 followed by graveside service at the Waxahachie Cemetery. Granny's strength and love will be missed and not forgotten.
