Mrs. Joy Spann, age 81

Mrs Spann passed away peacefully Sunday morning at Heartstone Living Center in Bedford. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas the daughter of Charles R. and Jennie (Miller) Streetman. She married Harold Spann, August 23, 1943 in Grand Prairie,Tx.
Mrs. Spann worked as an Executive Secretary at Baptist Student Union in Athens, Texas for 20 years. Upon reaching retirement she worked at the Texas Baptist Children's Home in Round Rock, Texas. She was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church.

Surviving her are 3 sons: Danny H Spann and his wife, Carolyn of Ft. Worth, Tommy Spann and his wife, Jackie of Waxahachie, Joseph Spann and his wife, Lezlie of Wichita Falls; brother, Paul Streetman and his wife Marsha of Glenellyn, IL; sisters, Beth Neal of Albuquerque, NM and Hope Garvin of Grand Prairie, TX.; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers-in-law.

The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday 6 to 8 PM. at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
A Graveside Service will be at 1 PM Thursday, March 29, 2007 at the DFW National Cemetery, Dallas. Interment will follow.
A Memorial Service will be at Heritage Baptist Church, 1000 Butcher Road, Waxahachie, at 2:30 Thursday. Brother Tim Gibson will officiate.
