Joseph Hickson

Joseph John Hickson III, 81 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 04, 2017 in Waxahachie, Texas. Joseph was born on March 08, 1935 in Blythe, California to the late Joseph John Hickson Jr. and Irene Louise Birckel Hickson.

He graduated from Carter Riverside High School in Fort Worth, Texas and later a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University in 1957. Joseph worked for Shell Oil Company for many years and retired in 1989. He was a devoted Christian a member of the Waxahachie Bible Church and a former member of the Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas and was a member of the Sunshine Sunday School Class. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his sister: Joyce Schinn; Sister in Law: Virginia & Charles Schronk; Brother in Law: R.C. Baze Jr. and wife Janet and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Wilma Ruth Hickson and Brother in law: Gerald Schinn.
A memorial services to celebrate his life is scheduled for Saturday, January 07, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Clinton Bratcher and Rev. Bruce Zimmerman officiating.
