Joseph Grmela

Joseph Vacslav Grmela, 58, of Waxahachie Texas, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018. Joseph was born in Dallas, Texas on July 31, 1959 to George Grmela and the late Eleanor Grmela. Joseph, "Joey" to most, is now free of cancer. His infectious laugh and caring character will be missed by family and friends who knew him dearly.

Joseph is survived by two brothers and two sisters, Mark Grmela (Sheila), Steve Grmela (Toni), Janice Grmela and Patricia Green; five nephews Bradley Grmela, Gary Sewell, Brandon Green, Justin Grmela, Timothy Grmela and one niece Kristy Grmela Cowart; and longtime girlfriend Anita Longoria.

Visitation with the family will be observed on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, 1826 W. Hwy 287 Business, from 6-8 PM.

The services to celebrate the life of Joseph (Joey) Grmela, will be Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:00 am in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to meet for the graveside services at Fatima Cemetery in Abbott, Texas at 12:00 PM on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowery the family encourages donations to the American Cancer Society.
