Joseph Durham, age 90

Mr. Durham passed away Saturday morning at Pleasant Manor Health and Rehab in Waxahachie. He was born in Dallas to Joe Allen and Annie Mae (Duncan) Durham. He graduated from High School in Dallas County. Mr. Durham entered the US Army September 12, 1942 serving in France, Germany and Belguim during WWII with the Army Air Corp Engineering Division. He was honorably discharged February 11, 1946. After his discharge he was a Surveyor with the Dallas County Civil Engineers. Mr. Durham moved to Waxahachie in the early 1980's and was a member of the Men's Downtown Bible Class and the American Legion; the Jo Van Marchbanks Post 137. He was a member of the Presbyterian faith.

Survivors are: nephews, Neil Tidwell and wife Pat of Ingram, Dale Tidwell and wife Betsy of Jacksonville, FL.; nieces, Brenda Tidwell of New York, NY and Bobbie Taylor of Waxahachie; and numerous great nieces, great nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Taylor and Ruth Tidwell; three nephews, Stirl Taylor, Jr., Barney Taylor and John Tidwell.

The family will receive friends and relatives 5-7 PM Tuesday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be 2 PM Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at the Lisbon Cemetery, Dallas.
