Jonathan Quinn Wilson, 52, went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday night at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 10, 1968 in Waxahachie to Clarence Melvin and Lila Giles Wilson. He accepted Jesus as his personal Savior when he was 7 years old. He always wanted to return to serve in his hometown community and got this opportunity in October, 1999 when he joined the Waxahachie Fire Department. All of the men that he worked with through the years have become his brothers and family. He loved working with them and being able to serve in the town he loves so much. He retired as a Captain this past April. Jon took great pride in owning his own business, Firehouse Barber Shop.
He married his high school sweetheart, Darla Pope, on August 17, 1991. They were married for almost 29 years. They were blessed with two sons, Jonathan Luke and Kaleb Mills. These two truly were his pride and joy!
