Jonathan Raymond Howard passed away suddenly at Baylor Medical Center Monday. He was born in Ennis, Texas to Susan M. (Smith) Howard and Dale Howard. He was employed as a Detention Officer at Ellis County Sheriff's Deparment in Waxahachie for 2 years. Jonathan was scheduled to leave for the Air Force on March 27th. He graduated from Waxahachie High School in 2005. Jonathan was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Waxahachie.

He is survived by: his parents; one sister, Mary C. Howard of Waxahachie; one brother, Anthony G. Howard, also of Waxahachie; uncles, David G. Smith and wife Pat of Waxahachie, Robin M. Smith of Euless, Texas, Bruce Howard and wife Patsy of Italy, Texas; aunt, Cindy J. Villarreal and husband Ernest of Waxahachie; his maternal grandparents, Glenn and Jan Smith of Waxahachie. Jonathan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry and Maxie Howard.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Thursday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of his Life will be 2 PM Friday, March 9, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church, Waxahachie with Dr. Jerry Galloway officiating. Pallbearers will be Joshua Howard, Chad Skiles, Justin Putman, Keith Wisakowsky, R.J. Gilbert and Daniel Gonzalez. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Ellis County Sheriff's Deparment. Interment will follow in the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
