Jona Lee Gorman, 75 of Waxahachie, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 21, 1943 in Springdale, Arkansas.
Jona was one of the sweetest souls on earth. She hugged everyone including strangers and would give her last dollar if needed. She was so full of life and she had a special way with people. If you bumped into her, you were going to get to meet her. She made you feel special as you were walking away from her. She loved Pink and red and wore tons of bling jewelry from head to toe. She owned her own beauty shop, called Jona' s House of Beauty". She was a beautiful woman and knew how to make her clients look their best. She was a member of the Rebecka Lodge. She was a seamstress, loved sewing and needle point and enjoyed making dolls and doll clothes. Jona loved to sing and dance. She was a wonderful mother, wife, sister, granny and even better friend to many. She loved the holidays and she did them big, spoiling everyone with gifts. She enjoyed cooking and baking and no one could out do her deserts or her cornbread dressing. Her grandbabies were her whole world. Throughout her whole life, she overcame adversity with love and kindness, through the gift of love that God bestowed to her. She loved the Lord and was always doing home study if not able to attend church. Her laughter and living spirit will forever be in our hearts. She will never be forgotten.

Gorman and his wife, Kaylene of Midlothian, Edwin Bryan Gorman and his wife, Tippi of Waxahachie; her daughter, Jessica Leigh Branden and her husband, Richard of Ferris; her brothers, Chuck Macy of Marrow, AR, Jackie Macy of Hawaii, William Daryl Reeves of Seligman, MO, Bobby Eugene Reeves of Springdale, AR and Tommy Francis Reeves of Defumiak Springs, FL; her sisters, Lula Blanch Eldridge of Springdale, AR, Sharin K.
