Jon Warren, Sr.

Jon Miller Warren, Sr. 72 of Waxahachie, passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 in Waxahachie. He was born to the late Miller P. Warren and Hazel Pratt Hancock on February 9, 1939 in San Antonio, Texas. Miller was an avid gun collector and a life-time member of the NRA. He attended Farley Street Baptist Church, Waxahachie. Miller retired from Plano ISD after 20 years as a school teacher. He is survived by his daughter, Laura Johnson of Waxahachie; his son, Jon Warren, Jr. and wife, Kara of Waxahachie; his grandchildren, Breanna, Brittany, Brylea, Braelyn, Brooklyn, Harley, Macy, Ethan and Elexia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eugenia "Genie" Warren; and by his sister, Jans Hunter. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2011 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Smith officiating.
