Jon Murray

Jon Nance Murray was born to Jack and Pat Murray on April 7, 1961. He passed away at 59 years of age on January 20, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Pat Murray, and brother Scott Murray.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Iola Murray, his son Jon Michael Murray, adopted children River Rowe and Rain Baker, stepchildren Shannon, James and Avery Rowe, brother Jeff and wife Cindy Murray, numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews

Jon retired from the City of Dallas at the age of 49 after 30 years of service. Jon loved his music and spent many hours in his truck listening to his music and talking to numerous friends and family on the telephone. He loved his cats. and had numerous cats, all of them being named. One thing for sure there was no mice or snakes around the property. Jon loved to travel before he got sick and was not able to travel for long distances. He was a big jokester and loved to tease the grandkids and great grandkids. There was never a dull moment with Jon. He will be dearly missed by all.
