Johnny David Bingham, Sr. 72 of Red Oak, passed away Friday, November 28, 2008 at his residence in Red Oak. He was born to the late J. D. & Lucille Bingham on October 25, 1936 in Hamilton, Texas.
Johnny loved to play golf and fish. He enjoyed making bird houses, gardening and working cross word puzzles. Johnny worked in management for Safeway from 1958 to 1984. He then retired from Wal-Mart after 14 years, retiring as Produce Manager.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Virginia Bingham of Red Oak; his daughter, Donna Sutherland of Red Oak; his son, Johnny David Bingham, Jr. and his wife, Deanna of Waxahachie; his sister, Sue Reynolds and her husband, Gale; 4 grandchildren, Tanner Sutherland, Breanna Sutherland, Whitney Bingham, and Tori Bingham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at the Red Oak Cemetery with George Stewart officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2008 at the Red Oak Funeral Home.
