John Williams

John Robert Williams, born Jan. 17, 1983, was welcomed into the Lord’s arms Aug. 17, 2020. John will be remembered fondly for the love and laughter he brought into the life of every person he met. Born to Robert “Steve” and Danna Williams (née Wright) at Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, John grew up playing baseball and causing mischief in Duncanville. He graduated from Canyon Creek Christian Academy in Plano in 2001, where he made All-District in baseball his senior year, and attended Collin County Community College.

John was an outstanding baseball player and enjoyed the game immensely. Until he was 18, he played with select teams throughout Dallas. John was also an avid fisherman, beginning at age 2 with his father, and in 2019, he competed in his first Texas bass fishing tournament. John loved music, the outdoors and a good joke. He spent all of his days living his life to the fullest.

John leaves behind a legacy in our hearts that will live on forever. John is survived by his mother and father, Danna and Stephen; sister Danni and partner Justin Perry; brother Joshua and fiancé Claire Higgins; and grandparents Rev. Robert and Lenora Williams and Martha Els and husband Rev. Herbert Els; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and great friends. John is preceded in death by his grandfather, Dan Wright, and aunt Robin Williams.
