John Washington

John Lane Washington, 86, passed away on November 16, 2017 in Waxahachie, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home located at 1826 W. Highway 287 Business in Waxahachie. Interment will directly follow funeral services in the Waxahachie City Cemetery. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 2-4 PM at the funeral home.

John was born on January 24, 1931 to John M. and Neva (Bunch) Washington. He was born and raised in Waxahachie and loved roping and riding. John was known for his welding skills and worked on many farms in the area fixing farming equipment. He was a simple man and always put others before himself. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

John was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Faye Marie Washington; and one sister, Marianna Musick.

He is survived by 14 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the Cowboy Church of Ellis County's Arena Fund.
