John M. Tomlinson, age 95

Mr. Tomlinson passed away Tuesday morning at his Steelville, MO. residence. He was born in Winnfield, LA. to C. O. and Mary Ella (Autry) Tomlinson. He attended and graduated from the school at Celeste, TX. Mr. Tomlinson served with the 144th Infantry US Army 1927-1929. He was a machinist employed with International Paper Company, Camden, AR., retiring after 30 years employment. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, sports fan and loved the Lord and his family. He was a member of the Cullendale First Baptist Church, Camden, AR.

Mr. Tomlinson is survived by: his wife, Della Maude Hughes of Camden, AR.; son, Jerry Lacy Tomlinson and wife Maureen of Crandall, TX.; daughters, Sharlie Ann Fawks and husband Bob of Waxahachie, Mary Ella Simmons and husband Ron of Woodlake, TX., Edith Marie Tomlinson and husband Fred of Steelville, MO., Phyllis Ann Stewart and husband Troy of Camden, AR.; fourteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Don Mitchell Tomlinson; three brothers and four sisters.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Thursday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Friday, September 23, 2005 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Brother Richard Smith officiating.
Mr. Tomlinson's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
