John Moos, Jr.

John H. Moos, Jr., 72, passed away at his home in Ovilla on April 15, 2016 with his family by his side. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Ovilla United Methodist Church with Rev. Joel Robbins officiating. Visitation with the family will be held at the church prior to the funeral services from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Ovilla Cemetery.
John Henry Moos, Jr. was born on July 18, 1943 in Uvalde, Texas to John H. Moos, Sr. and Maxine Moos Sachs. On August 17, 1979 he married his wife, Linda Ellis Moos. John worked for the City of Austin Electric and was a past President of the Elgin Evening Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Moos; children, Chad Michael Moos and his wife, Detra, Elizabeth Marie Moos Cooper and her husband, Andrew, and John H. Moos, III; grandchildren, Rebecca LeeAnn Moos, Rachel Lynn Moos, Amber Rose Cooper, Hailey Marie Cooper, Paris Nicole Moos, and Brooklinn Grace McKenzie Moos; great grandson, Malik Moos; siblings, William (Bill) Moos and Cheryl Ann Morgan; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
