On Tuesday September 7, 2021 John Richard Moehlenkamp loving husband, father and grandfather passed away at the age of 76 in Dallas, Texas after a long battle with cancer for 7 years along with other health issues.
John was born on July 30, 1945 in St Louis, Missouri
John and Linda Moehlenkamp just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in which they were getting ready to renew their wedding vows. He was a Retired Navy Senior Chief that he made a career out of before retiring and after that he was a Senior Underwriter before he officially retired.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years to Linda Moehlenkamp in which she has dedicated her life to, his loving daughter and Son-in-law Christina & Chris Miller, his son Justin Moehlenkamp, his loves and only grandchildren Gage and Chasity Buckner, his sister Marilyn Moehlenkamp and sister In-law Mary Moehlenkamp including his nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his youngest son, Kenny Getso; brother, Don Moehlenkamp and parents, Henry and Alberta Moehlenkamp.
John dedicated his life to his wife, children and grandchildren. He went by Pops or Papa to his family or anyone that was like family. He loved sports with a passion especially NASCAR, Football and Hockey. He was great at telling jokes or just being silly. He had amazing stories you would have to hear to believe.
He was a Life Member of the VFW 4477 as well as a Commander and Quartermaster there for few years. He loved and was very proud to have served in the Navy and was a proud Military man.
He loved his church Cross of Crist Lutheran Church with Rev John De Young – Pastor which John & Linda have been a member of for several years. John was an aviator for 20 years of his 24 years of service, including Vietnam, Guam, Japan and many other countries.

The Viewing will be September 16, 2021 at 6pm
Celebration of life will be September 17, 2021 at 2pm and the funeral procession to follow
