John Knight

John T. Knight, 59 of Milford, Texas passed away Monday, April 14, 2014 in Milford, Texas. He was born on July 05, 1954 in Dallas, Texas to Wilson and Joy Kelley Knight Allison. John was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the First Baptist Church of Milford, Texas. He worked in law enforcement for thirty four years for the Cedar Hill Police Department, Mansfield Police Department, Forrest Hill Police Department, Southlake Police Department, Ellis County Sheriff Department and the Rosenberg Police Department. John was a former mayor of Milford, Texas and was currently serving on the Milford Texas City Council. He will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew him and loved him. He is survived by his wife: Darla Knight of Milford, Texas; his mother: Joy Allison of Cedar Hill, Texas. 2 Daughters: Dusty Crider of Milford, Texas and Wendy Hammonds. 4 Grandchildren: Aubrey McKey, Erik Glass, John Hendricks and Eli Hammonds, Numerous Nieces and Nephews other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father: Wilson Knight. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Milford, Texas with Rev. Steve Gilley officiating. Interment will follow at the Milford Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
