John Birchfield

John Randal Birchfield passed away on September 5, 2017, at his home in Waxahachie surrounded by his loving wife and daughter. He was born on January 31, 1939, in Wyoming, W. VA. to Russell Edward and Clara Edith (Bragg) Birchfield.

John married Mary Kourtis on May 19th, 1962 in Jackson, MI. They were soon blessed with their daughter, Terri on October 27, 1962 and again when Lori came on April 12, 1968. The family moved to Texas in the summer of 1968 and lived in Arlington till the fall of 1998 when they decided to move to Waxahachie.

John is survived by his wife, Mary, their daughters Terri and Lori, sons-in-law Roger and Jonathan, John's twins Daryl and Cheryl, granddaughters Amber, Stephanie, Danielle, Hailey and Summer, grandsons Jacob and Jordan and 4 great grandchildren. John is also survived by his siblings Thelma, Larry Don and Duke, many nieces and nephews, cousins and countless friends.
