Joe Mitchell Melton II, age 34, of Niceville, FL, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2007. He was born in Dallas, TX in 1972, the son of Virginia and Joe Melton. Joe grew up playing sports of all kinds and loved to hunt and fish. In 2000 he met his future bride, Tiffany, in Dallas and in 2001 they moved to Niceville, FL and were married on a beach in Destin. Soon they would be blessed with two wonderful sons. Joe was employed with Terminix and also the YMCA in Niceville. He attended church at the First United Methodist Church in Niceville. Joe was a soft spoken Christian man with a good heart and a true love for God. His passion for sports was passed down to his two sons and one could almost always find Joe with at least one of his sons at a Niceville football or baseball game. He liked to do just about anything together as a family. Joe loved his wife and two sons so much. Joe's family will always love him and miss him. Our memories together will always be cherished. The world was such a better place with Joe in it.

He is survived by his wife Tiffany Melton, sons Tyler and Trenton of Niceville, FL, mother Virginia Watson and her husband Ron of Waxahachie, TX, father Joe Melton of Red Oak, TX, sister Tonya Davis and husband Randy and their children Katie, Chase, and Rachel of Red Oak, TX.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Thursday at the Red Oak Funeral Home, 120 N. Hwy. 342, Red Oak, Texas. The Celebration of Life will be 1 PM Friday, May 11, 2007 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Red Oak Cemetery.
