Joe Lopez, Jr.

Joe V. Lopez, Jr., 66 of Oak Leaf, Texas, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016 in a Plano hospital. He was born January 9, 1950 in Lubbock.

The family will be honoring the personal request of Mr. Lopez to have a closed casket. Thank you for your understanding.

Joe enjoyed music, cooking, playing golf, hunting and was a Texas Rangers fan. He had two successful businesses. He was a God fearing man devoted to his family and serving the Lord. Joe used his passion for music to play in a Christian band to spread the gospel and gain souls for Christ.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ester; his children, Joe Elisha, Rebecca, Jonathan and their families, including 7 grandchildren; he is survived by his siblings, George Lopez, Matilde Day, Noemi DeLeon and Juan Jose Lopez.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Lopez; his mother, Jobita Lopez; and also by his brother, Ruben Martinez.

Services to celebrate Joe's life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2016 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Gonzales officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be begin at Noon on Friday and will last until service time.
