Jody passed away to God's hands October 8, 2009 in Red Oak, Texas with her husband Steve at her side. Jody was born in Fort Worth to Joseph W and Virginia B Welling. Jody graduated from Grand Prairie High School and received her BA from North Texas State University. Jody was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother and friend. Jody ran J.C. Enterprises for 12 years in Red Oak and had many wonderful clients that became great friends over the years. She was a tireless worker at Christ The King Lutheran Church in Waxahachie, where she established a voice choir, hand bell choir and a Praise Ensemble. Jody touched many lives and will be missed very much by all.

Jody is survived by her parents Joe and Virginia Welling of Grand Prairie, Tx., Husband Steve Charles of Red Oak, two sons; Robert E Charles and his wife Anna of Austin, Andrew F Charles of Grand Prairie, one daughter Jenny Watson and her husband Wayne of Red Oak, and three grandchildren; Brittany, Ryan and Chelsea.

A Private Family Service was held Saturday Morning October 10, 2009 at Christ the King Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Hemsath and Paster Norman Finke officiating. A Private interment followed at the Brown Cemetery in Aledo, Texas.
A public memorial service will be planned at a later date.
The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
