Jodie Phillips January 01, 1939 December 15, 2010 Jodie Phillips age 71, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away Wednesday December 15, 2010 in Arlington, Texas. She was born in Oregon on January 01, 1939 to William & Edith Wilson Crook. Jodie enjoyed cross-stitch, watching the Mavericks WIN, playing Suduko, fishing, cooking and playing slots. She also enjoyed going with Smokey to Pioneer Restaurant for breakfast and sometimes lunch. She married Smokey; on May 14th 1960 they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past year. She spent a lot of her time participating and leading TOPS and enjoyed every minute of it. Jodie leaves behind family and friends that will always miss her. She is survived by her loving husband, Smokey, of Grand Prairie. Their daughters Edith Phillips, Terri Phillips and Glenda Hanson husband Phil Hanson of West Chicago their children; David Olson of Ft. Worth, Heather Olson of San Antonio, Katie Hanson and Briana Hanson of Oak Grove. A celebration of life is scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel with Walter Buchanan officiating. Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Burial Park in Waxahachie. There will be a time for visitation with the family Friday, December 17, 2010 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. John 14:1-3 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
