Joan Finley

Joan Ellen Finley, 68 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 in Waxahachie. She was born February 08, 1946 in Altus, Oklahoma to the late Joe Bob & Essie Mae Harrington Witt. Joan married Russell Finley November 26, 1973 in Dallas, Texas. She enjoyed sewing, making cakes and shopping for her grandchildren. Joan really enjoyed her pets. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all that knew her and loved her. She is survived by her husband Russell Finley of Waxahachie, 2 Daughters: Patsy & Luis Mata of Red Oak, Texas and Betty Armstrong of Waxahachie, Texas, 1 Son: Rickie & Carrie Finley of Waxahachie. 18 Grandchildren: 7 Great Grandchildren. Numerous Nieces and Nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bobby Witt of Omaha, Texas her daughter: Beverly Gibson of Chickasha, OK. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, July 26, 2014 graveside at Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas, Texas interment will follow. Visitation with the family is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
