Jo Johnston

Jo Ann Perrin Johnston was born to Earl and Eva Womack Perrin on August 27, 1932 in Decatur, Texas. She married Keith Johnston, Jr. on February 9, 1952. They were married for 56 years before his passing. Together they had three sons; Larry, Ron, and David. Jo Ann obtained her undergraduate and Master's Degree from East Texas State University. She taught kindergarten for 16 years to some of the poorest children in West Dallas. She felt that teaching these children was a mission that God had blessed her with.

Jo Ann and Keith retired to the family farm in the early 1980's. She blessed and served many people with service in the Waxahachie Shakespeare Club, the Waxahachie Women's Club, the Lord's Circle, the Waxahachie Senior Center Bridge Club, and Nash Victory Club. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church of Waxahachie for over 40 years. Her true passion in life was spending time and making memories with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jo Ann was surrounded by her sons, Ron and Larry, when she departed this earth and entered into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on April 20, 2022. In lieu of flowers, you are encouraged to make a donation to the Central Presbyterian Church Flower Fund, P.O. Box 38, Waxahachie, TX  75168.
