Jo Ann Yates

Today we say, “See you after-while,” to the Matriarch of our family, Jo Ann Adams Yates. Beloved wife, mom, mema, sister, aunt, cousin, and best friend.Jo Ann Adams Yates, aged Seventy-Eight, passed away on 08/06/2024. She was born on 04/22/1946, in Ennis, TX, to C.W. Mcburnett Adams and Annie Rue Stanton. She was a 1964 graduate of Wilmer-Hutchins High School and long-time resident of Lancaster, TX.

She is survived by: her husband, Harley Athel Yates Jr.; son, Harley Athel Yates III (Trace) (Erin Leatherwood); daughter, Angie Miller (Steven Miller); brother,Jerry Adams (Linda Adams); sister-in-law Kay Mabry (Richard Mabry); niece,Kim Adams Langley; nephew, Greg Adams (Angie Adams); nephew, Chad Adams;

Grandchildren: Tarayn Dickerson (Micah Munchrath); Tim Miller (Haylee Miller);Kaylee Davis (Calyn Davis); Jentry Yates, Lauren Yates, Colten Yates, and Keith Yates;

Great-Grandchildren: Harlee Jo Miller, Braylon Davis, Connor Davis, Bowen Miller; And numerous cherished family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her son, Timothy Wayne Yates; parents, C.W. Mcburnett (Spec) Adams and Annie Rue Stanton; brother, Buddy Adams; and many others she loved and missed so much who rejoiced in her arrival at The Pearly Gates.

Our family misses her so much already, but we find comfort in knowing she is rejoicing in Heaven with our Heavenly Father and all her family and friends who have gone on before her.

We ask for all who know and love JoJo to join us in honoring and celebrating her life on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Wayne Boze Funeral Home located at 1826 West Highway 287 Business Waxahachie, TX 75165. The Viewing will be held from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. and Funeral Service from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00P.M.. There will be a procession to Lancaster Cemetery for burial services immediately following the Funeral. Our family would also like to invite all attendees to the Funeral Reception located at 1109 W Main St. Waxahachie, TX75165, where food and drink will be provided
