Jimmy Prestidge

Jim Edd Prestidge, "Big Poppa", passed away peacefully on November 2, 2016 in Mansfield, Texas. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home located at 1826 W. Highway 287 Business in Waxahachie.

Jim was born and raised in Waxahachie. His family later moved to Lancaster where he met and married Patsy Reynolds on March 16, 1963. They later settled in Duncanville where they happily raised their two children. After Jim retired from American Airlines, he and his wife built a home in Midlothian where they lived out the remainder of their life.

Jim is survived by his son, Kevin Prestidge, daughter, Kim Prestidge and husband, Alex Galeti, grandson, Peyton Prestidge, and sisters, Bettie Fincher and Bobbie Davis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Prestidge; his parents, Elmer and Lillian (Long) Prestidge; sister, Jeanette Christian; and brother, Elmer Earl Prestidge and Harold T. Prestidge.
