Jimmy (Jim) Floyd Haney went to be with the Lord at home surrounded by his family on Friday July 7, 2023, in Waxahachie, TX at the age of 82. He was born in Grandview, TX on February 28, 1941, to Will Floyd Haney and Emily Ruth Bearden. He graduated Waxahachie High School in 1959, and married Judith Ann Allen in 1963. They were married for 60 years and raised 3 children Amy, Todd, and Julie. He was a Master Electrician and worked in Dallas, Tx until he opened his own electrical business in Waxahachie in 1986.
He is preceded in death by his mother Ruth Shockey, stepfather Jack Shockey, father Floyd Haney, and sisters Bernice Davis, Carolyn Osborn, and Sister in law Susan Allen. He is survived by his wife Judy Haney, children Amy & Marty Oglesby, Todd & Brenda Haney, Julie & Mark Flippen, and Son in law Jimmy Cameron. His grandchildren Blake & Jeni Oglesby, Brittany Oglesby, Justin Oglesby & Brooklyn Oglesby. Camden Haney, Allison Cameron, Eric Cameron, and Nicholas Cameron. Great Grandchildren Ella & Liam Oglesby, and half-sister Renae Davis. Brother in laws Randall Osborn, Jerry Davis, and Mack Allen, and sister in law JoAnn Allen. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday July 11 6pm – 8pm at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Wednesday July 12 at 11am at Waxahachie City Cemetery.
Honorary Pallbearers will be grandson, Blake Oglesby, Tanner Long, Eric Cameron, Camden Haney, Nicholas Cameron, Justin Oglesby, and great grandson Liam Oglesby.
