Jimmie Faye Bynum, 78 of Red Oak, passed away Monday, April 7, 2008 at her residence. She was born to the late Jim & Monie Faye Bain Lewis on October 7, 1929 in Ellis County.
Jimmie graduated from Forreston High School and North Texas University. She married Alvis Bynum on August 27, 1950 in Bethel. She was a longtime farmer/ranchers wife and mother. She was a Sunday School teacher for 10 years and a member and Elder of the Central Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Rebecca Boyce Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, Waxahachie Junior Service League, and the Forreston Friendship Club. Jimmie was a member and Past Matron of the Bardwell Chapter 560 of the order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, and Ellis County Historical Committee.

She is survived by her son, Jim Bynum and his wife Kim of Forreston. She was preceded in death by her husband Al in 1980.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday evening at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
The Celebration of her lifeis scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Walter Buchanan officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be JB Sims, Leland Calvert, Tom Almand, Gary Giles,GT Morton, Len Crow, Hoyt Alexander, and Jimmy Todd.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
