Jim Ferguson Pitts, Age 90

Jim Ferguson Pitts was born to Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Pitts of Center View, Texas on June 16, 1918. He was a member of Farley Street Baptist Church. Jim married Eva Ruth Davis Pitts on September 12, 1936 in Waxahachie. She passed away in 1999. In 2003 he married Margaret C. Brown.

Mr. Pitts is survived by his wife, Margaret Pitts; two sisters, Ruby Smith and Dean LaGrange; sister-in-law, Ruth Pitts; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends

Mr. Pitts farmed in and around Palmer and Ferris in the early 1930's and worked at Chance Vaught. He retired in 1989 after serving as a barber for 31 years in and around Pleasant Grove where he owned his own shop for 10 years.

Visitation will be Monday evening, February 2, 2009 from 6 to 8 PM at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Service is planned for Tuesday morning, February 3, 2009 at 10 AM in Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
