Jim Mckeever, Sr.

Jim Murray McKeever Sr., 61 years of age, of Maypearl, Texas passed away on August 8, 2011 at his home. He was born on February 6, 1950 to Joe Murray and Gladys Aundean McKeever at Freeport Community Hospital in Freeport, Texas. He married his high school sweetheart, Collene Shoemaker and lived in the Brazosport area most of his life. He worked for many, many years with his dad and grandfather, Alton McKeever, running the business of McKeever's Produce in Freeport, Texas and then went on to establish a produce business with his grandfather in Clute, Texas. Jim later became a long-haul truck driver moving to Houston and then to Maypearl. He was survived by his most precious son, Jim Murray McKeever, Jr. and most 3 beautiful granddaughters, Hayley Jones, Kora and Larkyn McKeever all of Waxahachie, Texas. Also surviving were his sisters, Debbie McKeever from Henderson, Texas and Betty Beaty (Karl) from Danbury, Texas and his nieces and nephews. The family (McKeever's and Shoemaker's) celebrated the life of Jim on August 10, 2011 with great food and fond memories, exactly the way Jim would have wanted it.
