Jesus Reyes, Sr., 50 of Waxahachie, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2008 at Baylor Medical Center Hospital of Waxahachie. He was born to the late Francisco & Beatrice Elisea Reyes on February 5, 1958 in Nueva, Rosita, Mexico.
Jesus loved to make people laugh and all of his friends could always count on him pulling a joke on someone. He was an avid coffee drinker and a very hard worker, supporting his family to the very best of his ability. Jesus loved people but most of all he loved the Lord. Surrending his life to Christ was the one thing he was most proud of and enjoyed attending church at the Restoration Tabernacle Church in Waxahachie. Jesus was a prayer warrior and changed his life to serve the Lord. May his example live on through all of his friends and family for many years to come. Jesus was loved by so many who will miss him.
He is survived by his daughter, Nohemi Garcia; his son, Jesus Reyes, Jr.; his brothers and sisters, Lupita Block, Jose Reyes, Jorge Reyes, Juan Reyes and Elizabeth Olvera; 7 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Derlon Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
