Jesse S. Ruiz, Sr., 70 of Palmer, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2009 at his residence in Palmer. He was born to the late Jose and Guadalupe Sanchez Ruiz on February 12, 1939 in Pandora, Texas.
Jesse loved his family and spending time with them. He loved sports and enjoyed coaching teams for young people. He enjoyed farming, fishing and loved his animals. He will be missed by so many friends and family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Selia Ruiz of Palmer; his sons, Jesse Ruiz, Jr. of Red Oak, Joey Ruiz and his wife, Kelley of Palmer; his daughter, Cynthia Fagan and her husband, Randy of Red Oak; by his 8 grandchildren, Rachael Ruiz, Rebecca Ruiz, Jesse Ruiz, III, Joshua Ruiz, Jacob and Jordan Ruiz, and by Riley and Carter Fagan.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Senon Ruiz; his sister, Janie Longoria; his grandson, Joseph Ruiz; and by his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Ferris with Monsignor Oscar Gales serving as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Red Oak Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home and a Rosary prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
