Jerry Duane Rankin, 80 of Dallas, Texas passed away October 11, 2015 in Plano, Texas. He was born on July 24, 1935 in Fredrick, Oklahoma to the late Thomas Luther and Ruth Mae Williams Rankin. Jerry was a kind loving patient man, that loved to dance, play cards, enjoyed having lunch with his step grandchildren and loved to play golf at Stevens Park for the last 40 years. Jerry served in the U. S Army and was retired from the Painters Union and was a drywall contractor for many years. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends and all that knew him and loved him. He always said "be nice to your neighbors." He is survived by his loving wife Doris Rankin, Step Daughter: Tricia Cassady and spouse Jason. Step Granddaughters: Leah Rios and spouse Pete, Courtney Esselman and spouse Caleb, Marissa Gardner. Step Grandsons include: Shane & Eli Miller, Step Great Grandchildren: Andrew Rios, Fabian Lobato, Kaylee Rios, Callista Lobato, Zyler Rios & Felicity Rios and Brooke Davis and Parker Miller. 2 Nephews: Ellis & Shirley Rankin and Duane & Tina Rankin. Host of friends and other family. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
