Jerry Garritson

Jerry Loyd Garritson, age 72, passed away on Wednesday April 27, 2022 in his home.  He was born April 6, 1950 in Dallas, Texas.  He was a member of Brown Street Church of Christ for many years.

Jerry graduated from UTA with a Bachelor’s Degree.  He retired from AT&T with over 30 years of service.  He did taxidermy work for over 8 years with a specialty in fish.  Jerry was an avid fisherman, and loved to draw and build model airplanes.  His big hobby was working on old cars and going to car shows.

He was preceded in death by his parents Loyd and Phama Garritson.  Jerry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He is survived by his wife Debbie Garritson, son Jeffrey Garritson and wife Kristen Garritson of Arlington, TX, and daughter Carrie Wilson of Waxahachie, TX, grandchildren Logan Wilson of Waxahachie, TX and Emily and Jayce Garritson of Arlington, TX, his brother Jimmy and wife Brenda Garritson of Dallas, TX, and sister Bonnie Sue Hickman of Allen, TX, several niece, nephews, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
