Jerry Wayne Bell, Jr., 44 of Plano, Illinois, formerly of Red Oak, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at his residence. He was born on June 24, 1970 in Dallas, Texas to Jerry W. Bell, Sr. and Martha McCullough Bell. Jerry was deeply devoted to Jesus. He loved studying and sharing the Word of God. He was devoted to his family and committed to doing whatever it took to take care of them. He was a witty man who loved to crack jokes. That serious exterior was just a front for a very funny man. He was passionate about teaching and had just in recent years found his true calling as a pastor. Jerry served as associate pastor at Jacob's Well in Plano, IL for the past 5 years. He had worked in the business world for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Jennie Oliver Bell of Plano, IL; his daughter, Jennilee Renee Bell of Plano, IL; his son, Jackson Carlisle Bell of Plano, IL; his father and mother, Jerry and Martha Bell of Waxahachie; his sister, Wendy Byers of Red Oak; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. F. McCullough and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford W. Bell Services to celebrate Jerry's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Red Oak. Interment will follow at the Little Bethel Cemetery, Duncanville. Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie.
