Jerrie Lou was born to Claude and Nellie Buchanan on June 20, 1944 in Italy, Texas. She grew up in Waxahachie and attended Waxahachie schools. Jerrie lived most of her life in Ft. Worth, Texas and had worked in nursing facilities as a CNA for 20 years. She had resided the last six years in Hurst with her daughter P. J. (Paula) Allen and husband Mark, and their three children. She was loved by many and always will be remembered.
She is survived by her six children: Bobby Hill and wife Michelle of Burleson, Ronny Hill of Hurst, TX., Lynn Hill and wife Francesca of New York, Patricia Prude and husband Keith of Hurst, TX., Sylvia Anderson and husband James of Burleson, TX., and P.J. (Paula) and husband Mark Allen of Hurst; fourteen grandchildren; sister, Shirley Wharton of Waxahachie; brothers, Lonnie (Buckey) Buchanan of Ennis and Claude (Buck) Buchanan of Temple; aunt, Lillie Adams of Lancaster, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Buchanan. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lakeview Cemetery with Brother Bobby Adams officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. at Wayne Boze Funeral Home and will last until time to leave for the graveside service.
