Jennifer Stevens

Jennifer Lynn Hillery Stevens, age 52, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018 in Waxahachie. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 2 PM at the Avenue Church located at 1761 N. Hwy 77 in Waxahachie. Visitation with the family will be observed on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 6-8 PM at the First United Methodist Church located at 505 W. Marvin Avenue in Waxahachie as well.

Jennifer was born in the Spring of 1966 in Dallas, Texas to William and Norma Ann Hillery. She was the owner of "Danceworks" dance studio in Waxahachie for 18 years. Jennifer was also the current President of the Texas Association Teachers of Dancing where she was a member for 25 years. She taught choreography for the Waxahachie High School Drama Department and was the Music Director for "Funday School" at the United Methodist Church of Waxahachie.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Stephen Craig Hillery.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Paul Stevens; daughters, Sophie Stevens and Summer Stevens; brother, Jeffrey Hillery and his wife, Peggy; brother in-law, Don Stevens and his wife, Lavon; sister in-law, Sharla Mager and her husband, Steve; nieces and nephews, Charlotte Hillery, Natalie Crabb, Sean Hillery, Misty Davenport and Candy Stevens; as well as several great nieces and her Yorkie pup, Louie.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Jennifer Stevens Drama Department Scholarship.
