Jennie Croy

Jennie Sue Croy, of Waxahachie passed away at Baylor Scott & White Hospital Dallas of natural causes on Thursday, August 15th, 2019 at the age of 86.  She was born on November 6th, 1932 in Italy, TX to Jack Thornton Zinn and Vera Estelle Bradford.  Jennie Sue grew up as an only child in Waxahachie, attended Marvin Elementary School in Waxahachie and graduated from Waxahachie High.  Upon graduating, she married Robert Dale Croy of Waxahachie on October 30th, 1948 and then graduated in April 1950 from Durham's Business college in Ft. Worth Texas.  She studied typing, shorthand, and other secretarial skills.  She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority from 1959 to 1965 and was a charter member of American Businesswomen’s Association.  Jennie Sue enjoyed the business world.  She took pride in a job well done.  Her time at Waxahachie Bank & Trust and Comerica Bank, Waxahachie, spanned some 26 years.  Banking was her life.  She enjoyed the business of banking, loved the customers she served, and enjoyed the people she worked with.  Jennie began working at Waxahachie Bank and Trust in 1976 as a teller, then as the bank transitioned to Comerica became head teller earning a service recognition award in 1989.  In addition to being a hard worker Jennie was also a devoted mother and grandmother, and is survived by her children, Robin Sissell and Rick Croy of Waxahachie and Grandchildren, Heather and Justin Croy of Waxahachie and Cory Sanders of Waxahachie. Jennie was preceded in death by her parents Jack Zinn and Vera Zinn Neely.

Visitation with family and friends is scheduled for 10.00 am Saturday, August 24, 2019.  Services to celebrate her life are scheduled at 11.00 am in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery.
