Mrs. Freeman passed away peacefully with family members by her side Sunday morning at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. She was born in Waxahachie, the daughter of William H. and Beula (Arnwine) Scott. Jeanne was a 1942 graduate of Waxahachie High School where she was the Head Majorette and the 1942 Queen. She was also a graduate of Draughné�'s Business School of Dallas. Jeanne
married Joe C. Freeman, August 2, 1942 in Waxahachie and they were owners of Scott Furniture
Store for 44 years. Mrs. Freemané�'s Civic Involvements included: a Charter Member of the Baylor Auxiliary (receiving her 50 year award), member of the Jr. Service League, and Regent of the Rebecca Boyce Chapter of DAR (1987-1990).

She was a lifelong member of Central Presbyterian Church of Waxahachie, TX. where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She had recently been attending the Waxahachie Bible Church.

Surviving her are: two daughters, Kaye Almand and her husband Tom of Waxahachie, Jan Burleson and her husband Gary of Pattison, Tx.; one sister, Martha Carlson and her husband Roy of Abilene; Special Sister Lillian Neal of Waxahachie; brother-in-law, Roy Freeman and his wife Kay of Waxahachie; sister-in-law, Virginia Marvin of Corinth, Tx.; three granddaughters, Angie Green and her husband Mike of Huntsville, Dé�'Anne Harrington and her husband Randy of Waxahachie, Kristin Covey and her husband Nathan of College Station; one grandson, Jeremy Truitt and his wife Lisa of Houston; one great grandson, Gatlin Peck; one great granddaughter, Madison Truitt; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
The Celebration of her Life will be 10 AM Wednesday, March 28, 2007 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Zimmerman officiating. Pallbearers will be: Randy Harrington, Mike Green, Jeremy Truitt, Nathan Covey, Scott Carlson, and Jim Bynum. Interment will follow at the Sardis Cemetery.


The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the Waxahachie Bible Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
