Jeanette Gardner Vaughan passed away Saturday, March 11, 2006 at Pleasant Manor Living Center in Waxahachie. Mrs. Vaughan was born in Bowie, Texas to Leonard M. and Minnie Frances (Givens) Gardner. She graduated from Waco High School in 1932. She was married to Morris Vaughan on Feb 20th, 1938. They were owners of North Feed and Seed, later known as Vaughan's Back Yard Center here in Waxahachie from 1946 to 2002. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women and served on several church committees.

Survivors include a brother, Harry Gardner and wife Helen of Waco, Tx., and two sisters-in-law, Lorraine Gardner of Houston, Tx., and Betty Gardner of Waco, Tx. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, A. Morris Vaughan, one son, Gardner Vaughan, father, Leonard M. Gardner, and her mother Minnie Frances (Givens) Gardner.

The family will receive friends and relatives Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday, March 14th at 11 AM at Waxahachie City Cemetery.
