Jean Evelyn Carter, 82 of Midlothian, Texas passed away Tuesday, August 05, 2014 in Midlothian, Texas. Jean was born on May 17, 1932 in Sierra Blanca, Texas to the late Sam J. & Virgie Goodwin Dyess. She was a graduate of North Texas State Teachers College, after college she started her teaching career in Seymore, Texas in 1954, and then taught school at Maypearl ISD and Midlothian ISD until her retirement in 1985. She was a longtime member & charter member of Oak Crest Baptist Church in Midlothian, Texas. She will be dearly missed by her family and everyone who knew her and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 44 years Norman K. Carter of Midlothian, Texas 1 brother & sister in law: Samuel P.& LaRue Dyess of Waxahachie, Texas; 2 nieces: Dana Stanton and Terri Ousley and a host of other family and friends. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, August 07, 2014 at the Oak Crest Baptist Church in Midlothian, Texas with Jerry Hall officiating. Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Waxahachie, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
