Jean was born on January 4, 1947 in Brockport, New York. She married Dennis H. Boldt on July 20, 1968. Jean went to her heavenly home at the age of 66 on October 16, 2013. Jean was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Waxahachie, Texas. She loved her family more than anything and enjoyed singing and reading in her free time. She served as a teacher at Cross of Christ Lutheran School in DeSoto, Texas and Trinity Lutheran School in West Seneca, New York. Jean retired from teaching from Holy Cross Lutheran School in Dallas, Texas in 2010. Jean loved to teach her grandkids at home. Her dedication to teaching and church extended through all areas of her life. Jean is survived by her husband Dennis H. Boldt and three children: Tim and (Amy) Boldt of Midlothian, Valerie and (Rob) Scheffert of Ohio and Cindy and (Brian) Serrano of Midlothian; Six grandchildren Josh and Zoe Boldt, Lydia Babcock, and Maddie, Faith and Nate Serrano and four step grandchildren, Brad and (Hayley) Babcock, Ryan Babcock, Jordan and Rory Scheffert; four siblings Judy Hazen, Dick and (Diane) Lasch, Jan and (Herb) Meissner and Joyce Lasch. Jean is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Wilma Lasch. A celebration of Jean's life will be at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Waxahachie on Saturday October 19, 2013 at 11am. Visitation will be at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie on Friday October 18, 2013 from 6-8pm. Interment will be at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in West Seneca, New York. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to Christ the King Lutheran Church at 301 Hwy 287 Bypass West Waxahachie, Texas 75165 to benefit Trinity Lutheran School in West Seneca, New York. Jean spent many years teaching and serving and giving her time and talents to Trinity Lutheran School.
