Bode Morris, born in Arlington, Texas, January 25, 2002, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 28, 2023 at 21 years of age. He is survived by his parents, Rick and Angie Morris; birth father Jason Ames; grandfather Carl Ames; brothers Frederick Morris and Matthew Morris; sisters Tatum Ames, Ava Sue Ames, and Lydia Switzer.  He was loved by his aunts and uncles: John Ames, Jeremy Ames, Mary Lynda and Michael Johnson, Anita Ann and Jeff Overhouse, Joan Ellen and Jack Vick, Linda Fullman, Chip Anderson, Laura Stowe, Tresia Anderson, Mary Ann Reed, Donna Ames, and Perry Ames as well as numerous cousins. 

As a young child, Bode was energetic, happy, and curious about everything.  He craved love and attention, and was often heard saying “let me hold you” to his family with his arms stretched up in anticipation of a hug. He loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. He knew how to make others around him laugh with his infectious smile and his own contagious laugh. He loved making funny videos to entertain others. His ability to meet a stranger and have them loving him from that first moment on was a gift. As he got older, he demonstrated love and tenderness to his younger nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He also had a very big heart for animals. He enjoyed watching tv & movies and listening to music.

As an older teen, despite battling his own addictions, Bode still tried to see the light in everything.  He continued to encourage others even during his own low points in life. 

Bode Morris will be missed.  His light, love, and joy will be missed.  Family members have lost a son, brother, cousin, nephew, grandson, and uncle.  Bode is at peace now, probably making Jesus laugh.
