Jason Ray Hughes

Jason Ray Hughes, 48, passed away in the early hours of Monday, January 13, 2025, in Waxahachie, Texas. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Jason often joked that he was Hawaiian. 

He is survived by his parents, Robert and Linda Hughes; his brother, Jacob Hughes, and sister-in-law, Kaylin; his nephew, Wyatt, and his niece, Mckenzie, whom he adored both very much. Jason is also survived by his daughter, Katie.

Jason cherished many lasting friendships, especially from his high school years, where he was affectionately known as “Boggy”. Over the years, Jason worked in various fields, including as truck driver, security guard, and, most recently, a caregiver to his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by the service at 10:00 AM. The service will take place at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, 1826 W. Highway 287 Business, Waxahachie, Texas 75165
