On Saturday, December 19, 2020, Jan Darvin “J.D.” Peyrot went to be with the Lord at the age of 56. J.D. was born on June 14, 1964 in Mineral Wells, Texas to James Thurman and Janet Marie Peyrot (Sills). He spent his early years in Gainesville, Tx and then was raised in Irving, Texas. He graduated from Irving High School In 1982 and immediately enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. He served in the Marines from 1982-87. On June 22, 1991, he married Tricia Jean Kelsey. For the past 20 years, J.D. has worked for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 100 Union as a welder. He has traveled from one side of the United States to the other welding structures from the ground up.
J.D. loved God, family, and had an upmost respect for his country. J.D. referred to the Nytex Sports Arena as his “Happy Place” where he supported and held season tickets to the Lone Star Brahmas Hockey team. J.D. had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting as well as raising livestock. He looked forward to the days of going to visit his dad in Gainesville and “checking” on the cows and hunting down the coyotes. His dream was to one day be out in the middle of a ranch far away from the “hustle” of life.
J.D. was a beloved husband, a devoted father, a cherished son, an admired uncle, and a friend to many. J.D. was a man of integrity, who did things not for the glory or praise, but because they were the right thing to do. He was a man of his word and was wise beyond his years. And one of the best listeners a friend could have.
J.D. was an example of Christ in the way he loved his family. J.D.’s love for his wife was unwavering; they were teammates in all that life took them through. His children were his world. It didn’t matter how far away work took him, he would be here if at all possible to attend their many events.
J.D. is survived by his wife, Tricia, his two children, Kelsey Marie Cruse (Peyrot) and Preston Thomas Peyrot, son in law Landon Cruse, father, James Peyrot Sr. of Gainesville, Tx, mother, Janet Havenhill of Ft. Worth, Tx brother, James Peyrot, Jr., two sisters, Michelle Cordero and Nicole Jeanes and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
