Janis Stimmel

Janis Stimmel, age 70, went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2018. She was born in Waxahachie, Texas on October 18, 1947. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home located at 1826 W. Highway 287 Business in Waxahachie. Visitation with the family will be observed on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Janis' pride and joy in life was being a Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She loved traveling and making new friends everywhere she went.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Clarene Widner; brother, Billy Wayne Widner; and brother in-law, Bill Pirkle.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Stimmel of Whitney, Texas; brother, Darrel Widner and wife, Kay, of Hillsboro, Texas; son, Rodney May and his wife, Julie, of Elkhart, Texas, and Randy May and his wife, LuWanna, of Italy, Texas; daughter, Tammy Graham her husband, Monty, of Mathis, Texas. Janis was "Nanny" to 7 grandchildren: Lesley, Courtney, Brad, Kassi, Alyssa, Colton and Meredith; 1 great-grandchild, Kevin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie is in charge of the arrangements.
