Janis Hallum

November 30, 1936 — July 10, 2012

Janis R. Hallum, 75 of Waxahachie, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012 with her loving family by her side. She was born to the late Dr. Roy Roberts and Mrs. Minnie Faye Roberts on November 30, 1936 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Janis loved and enjoyed many things in her life. She loved fishing and fished often. She was continually contacted and asked where all the good fishing spots were located. If anyone needed any assistance, Janis was known as the person to call pertaining to fishing and enjoyed being a guide on many occasions. She was also an artist and loved to paint. She loved Christmas and getting together with her family. Janis enjoyed the outdoors, nature and bird watching. When she wasn't on her boat fishing, you would probably find her gardening and working in her yard. Janis leaves behind so many friends who will continually miss her and love her. She is survived by her son, Mark E. Hallum of Waxahachie; her daughter, Vicki L. Hallum of Waxahachie; her sister, Judy Love and her husband, Don of New Mexico; her brother, Phillip Roberts and his wife, Peggy of Colorado Springs; her grandchildren, Crystal A.
